Fishing at it's best!!! Mr. Shur-Cure Egg Bait Cure & Preserver, fishing bait cure, was commercially developed by an avid Fishermen & subsequently used all over the NW including Alaska. perfected by coastal river fishermen throughout the 1980's and 90's.
The goal was to create a quick and easy cure that was the "fish catchin-est" cure out there. The formula is as natural as possible - keeping the smolt, fishermen and environment safe from harmful chemicals while producing more strikes, hookups and landed fish. Our cure not only is "quick and easy" but . Because he was an avid fisherman and eventually owned his own bait shop, he had the opportunity to test his formulations either on his own or with the many friends and customers he had.
When the state of Oregon became aware of the damage that sodium sulfide many of the cures had to be reformulated to remove this chemical, Mr. SHUR-CURE Bait Cure & Preserver was well ahead of its time as our cures not only met the requirements but surpassed them. We had proven for years that this chemical was not necessary for a successful cure. A cure that had no "mold" problems, a cure stimulated a "bite" reaction, that fish were attracted to! After years of purchasing SHUR-CURE at local bait shops, fishing, & marketing Mr. SHUR-CURE Bait Cure, we purchased the company in 2009. While keeping the formula's true to the original with a few enhancements, we have added more colors and a few other types of cures and brine's (Prawn/Shrimp Cure, Herring & Squid Brines) but pride ourselves on a cure that will "cure the bait" to last (without freezing), is smolt/fishermen and environmentally friendly, but most of all CATCHES FISH!!!
